Update

Sorry it's been so long since I posted. I've been a little busy. On December 19, 2007 my mom was killed in a car accident. I was devastated as were my brothers and family. I flew to Reno (my mom lived in Nevada) and met my brothers there (we were accompanied by my dad and uncle Doug and Grandparents). We spent a very busy two days figuring all of the funeral home stuff out, sorting through my mom's belongings, and visiting the crash site. It was a very sad, stressfull, angering, and remembering few days. After that I flew home. My brothers and their families drove up and stayed at our house until after the funeral which was on the 29th. My whole family was very worried about me..since I was nine months pregnant...but I was fine, thanks to many prayers, a wonderful husband, and great family and friends. Besides, I knew God would not give me more than I could handle. So, we made it through Christmas, the funeral and the new year without going into early labor. Then on Jan. 4, 2008 @ 05:11am, we welcomed a beautiful, healthy baby boy into our lives. Bragen has been such a blessing in our lives and we could not be happier parents. We didn't know we could love something as much as we love our little boy. He weighed 7lbs 15oz. We went home the next day and are doing very well. I am very happy to have him out of me and in my arms. I've had a few tearful moments...but am doing very well.
So, that has been our eventful month. I have had the best and worst thing happen to me in a matter of a few weeks. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband who has been so supportive and helpful through everything (yep, he even changes dirty diapers), and my wonderful family and friends who have said many needed prayers for me and my family. I know I've said it before, but I am very blessed to have such wonderful people in my life!!

Work Baby Shower

Tis' the Season

Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. I worked a dayshift at the hospital...and ended up getting off early at 1:30pm, paid overtime...the Cowboys won...the food was great...and we have MANY things to be thankful for. I have a wonderful husband, we are being blessed with a child, we have good health (minus an occasional nauseating day)and we have wonderful families. Every year Brody and I have a tradition of getting our Christmas tree thanksgiving weekend and taking pics in the mountain. Here are a few of my favorites.

31&32 Weeks!!

Here are my 31&32 week belly pics....the poor kid is running out of room fast. Sleeping is becoming more of a challenge as I toss and turn from side to side. I am now 33 1/2 weeks..only 6 1/2 weeks to go. The baby's room is coming along nicely. The painting is finished and the windows are in...the carpet should be installed next week. Yeah!!

Brody's Elk

Here is a picture of Brody's elk that you've been waiting impatiently to see:) (Dad and Amos) I'm very proud of him...although cutting up the meat has been a pain in the butt. I shouldn't complain...it saves us a lot of money and I am greatful!!

Brody's Hunting Trip

Here are some pictures from Brody's hunting trip from this year. His dad, brother, a friend of the family, and him packed in and were there for 5days...needless to say they didn't get anything because there was little visibility...but he had a good time anyway. The pictures are limited because I can not seem to get him to take very many...ugh:(

More Hunting Pics

Here are more pics from my hunting experience for this year...I don't know if I mentioned it in the first post, but it was exactly one year from when I killed my first buck (October 7th). Crazy huh?? Enjoy the pics..and thanks to my wonderful husband for doing MOST (not all) of the dirty work!!

Mighty Hunter..pregnant and all!!

I was fortunate enough to draw a buck tag again this year. Opening day my dad took me out (Brody and his dad and brother pack in to hunt) and we seen a small buck (VERY small), so I didn't shoot anything. This last weekend Brody was home and took me out this last weekend to see if we could find anything. We got into a bunch of does that had three bucks with them, a 4 point and two 3 points. So, after hiking my chubby pregnant butt up the mountain and getting in to a position where I could shoot, I was able to kill my 2nd buck!! Brody (being the wonderful husband that he is) drug it to where we could bring the 4wheeler to it and took it home where he gutted it out and skinned it for me. I am very thankful for such a wonderful, supportive husband. Here is a pic of me with the antlers..I'll post more when I get them developed!!

Too Funny Not to Post

So I had to post this picture. It took me a while to realize what it was. It is the baby's lips. They look HUGE. I was cracking up when I figured out what they were and remembered the US tech talking about the pic. It looks like it is kissing a mirror or something..to funny.
